This is a competition amongst the High Schools in the Tri-County area, they compete in different facetts of Police work. They perform a traffic stop, handle a domestic, participate in an oral interview and take a written test.</div><br /><div>I was impressed with the job they did and the enthusiasim of the people there to support the event. The winner will go on to a State competition and that winner will go on to compete Nationally. We work for a small agency in County Government but we fill big shoes. All our dispatchers are trained in both Police and Fire /EMS dispatch. We dispatch for the Sheriff's Office and the local State Police Barracks. On the other side we have 6 VFR Companies, one Ambulance company and on ALS company as well as a dive team and hazmat response team. While we are busy with our dispatch duties we also handle all the 911 calls for our County and several administrative lines.
